Bullen Ultrasonics’ Heather Beatty Honored at 2025 Stevie Awards for Women in Business

Winning Bronze in the Family Business Leadership category, Beatty was recognized for transforming workforce development, strengthening company culture and expanding community impact at a multi-generation family-owned manufacturer

EATON, OHIO — December 2, 2025 — Bullen Ultrasonics, a leader in precision machining of advanced ceramics, glass and specialty materials using proprietary ultrasonic and laser-based technologies, today announced that Heather Beatty, the company’s Director of Employee Engagement and Development, has been named a Stevie® Award winner, earning Bronze in the Women in Family Business Leadership category at the 2025 Stevie Awards for Women in Business.

Beatty was honored for her pivotal leadership in evolving Bullen Ultrasonics’ workforce development strategy, deepening its people-first culture and expanding its long-standing philanthropic legacy through initiatives that bridge generations, support employee growth and enhance community impact.

“Heather has transformed what it means to lead inside a family-owned company,” said Tim Beatty, President of Bullen Ultrasonics. “She brings people together, builds trust across generations and creates opportunities for our employees to grow personally and professionally. Her work strengthens not only our workforce, but our community and our future as a family business. We’re proud to see her recognized with a Stevie Award, an honor that reflects the difference she makes every day at Bullen.”

Since joining Bullen in 2022, Beatty has reshaped the company’s approach to people development by launching formal apprenticeship programs, mentorship and leadership roundtables, and company-wide trainings, including neuroscience-based workshops that strengthened communication, collaboration and mental fitness. She also helped initiate new employee resource groups, including a Veteran’s and Women’s Employee Resource Group, creating a stronger sense of belonging and shared purpose across generations of employees. These efforts have strengthened internal talent pipelines, improved engagement and aligned personal development with Bullen’s long-term business goals—an uncommon level of investment within the precision manufacturing industry.

Beatty has also modernized Bullen’s longstanding philanthropic tradition by embedding employee voice into giving decisions and directing support to 50 local and two international organizations in 2025. Under her leadership, the Veterans Employee Resource Group launched a program that allocates a set amount of donation funds to veterans and their families in need within the community, demonstrating the power of employee-led giving.
